My career began over 10 years ago, volunteering and working with marginalized adults in Edmonton’s inner city. Since, I have counselled adults experiencing difficulties with developmental disabilities, FASD, criminal justice involvement, relationship breakdown, substance use and mental health concerns.
My clinical background involves working with people struggling with overwhelming emotions, depression, anxiety, suicidality, self-harm, substance use and relationship challenges.
My approach is influenced by my training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help clients find balance, manage distress, learn new skills in mindfulness, and cultivate a more fulfilling relationship with themselves and others.
Giving voice to your best self often takes place in the context of a safe, supportive, and confidential relationship. My intention is to create an open, curious, accepting space where you can explore, grow and restore balance to your life.
In my spare time, I can be found exploring the great West Coast with my family, dipping my toes into the sand at our local beaches, or throwing the ball with my dog
