Childbirth and Newborn Care Prep Class with In Bloom Births
Join us for a One or Two Day Childbirth + Newborn Care Prep Class that covers the essentials all families need to feel prepared (perhaps even excited?) for this life transition! This is a comprehensive curriculum that covers the essentials to prepare for Childbirth, Postpartum Recovery, and the First days and weeks with baby.
Day onewill provide you with an understanding of anatomy and physiology of birth, stages of labour, comfort measures + partner support, medical pain relief, and the hours immediately following birth. Day two gives you the knowledge and tools for optimal postpartum recovery, and the basics of newborn care, like feeding, changing, sleep routines, soothing a fussy baby, and more (there’s so much more!)
You’ll find that this class is engaging, interactive, and thorough, leaving both you and your partner confident and prepared. You will gain a greater understanding of the birth process, practice strategies and techniques for comfort and coping during labour, learn about medical pain management options, gain tools to feel empowered and make decisions in labour, and spend time working through your feelings or fears leading up to your big day through to the first weeks.
What’s included: a light breakfast, coffee, tea + water, course manual, and two interactive days of Childbirth + Newborn Care Preparation!
*Space is limited, register early to ensure your spot!*

This active practice is dynamic in nature and creates mindful movements from one posture to the next and challenges you to find flexibility, strength and concentration with in your postures. A combination of sun salutations, standing postures, balances, twists, seated and lying postures are weaved together into a fun, themed class with music. This class creates a workout type feel while toning the body and clearing your mind. This is an athletic practice and it is recommended that students feel strong through classic sun salutations.
A style of yoga that invites you to slow down and create space for stillness, nurture your bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and fascia. By holding the postures for 2-5 min or longer, the deeper connective tissues are affected and improvement in flexibility is the result. The use of probs are encouraged in each posture so that the body feels supported and relaxed and then has the chance to release. This class is a great complement if you have an active lifestyle (active yoga, running, cycling, sports etc) or if you are wanting a calming, meditative type of practice. Suitable for all students.
A slow and gentle warm-up and then a blend of Restorative & Yin. We’ll find delightful ways of opening the body by melting into the floor and draping ourselves over bolsters. Deeply nourishing and calming. Includes floor poses (seated, belly, back). Options will be given for all poses so you can decide if you want a deeper yin-like focus to your practice or if you want to just relax to the max via restorative. We will end practice with a slightly longer than usual, luscious guided relaxation/meditation to help you float on a sea of bliss.
