Strengthen your body, develop/maintain flexibility and balance. Incorporate simple meditation/breathing techniques and benefit from deep relaxation. A practice with the potential to stay with you, expanding beyond the mat sustaining daily life.

    Spring Forest Qigong is a simple practice using the mind, breath, simple movements and sound to balance your own internal energy for better health and vitality. Some of the benefits of SFQ include:

    • Increased mental clarity & focus

    Starting Oct.18/18, join Barb for her weekly Spring Forest Qigong practice, ‘Transform Your Energy, Transform Your Life!’.  Every Thursday afternoon from 5:00 to 6:00pm at Nourish Wellness in Comox,  join other ‘Qi Transformers’ as you practice the simple, gentle movements of this meditative practice.

    You will find that practicing in a group magnifies the energy and furthers the healing!

    Drop-in rate is $12/practice.  6-visit cards available for a special rate of $50. Drop-in can be paid at the class. Registration is required for the special rate.  After registration, you will receive your card at the class.

    All are welcome! No experience necessary. Dress comfortably. Chairs are provided for the seated meditation at the end but you are welcome to bring a cushion, blanket or your own yoga mat if you would like to do the meditation lying down.

    60 min Mat Pilates class series designed to strengthen your core function, mobility, tone, and connection. A special emphasis will be placed on core and pelvic floor restrengthening for postnatal clients or and busy moms who would benefit from this focused attention. Clients of all ages and physical fitness level are welcome. If you have recently given birth please ensure your medical professional has cleared you for physical activity.

    Class description: Introduction to Somatics

    Instructor: Carolyn Pigott
    You will be introduced to fundamental movements that reconnect your brain to your muscles. Through the practice of deep breathing techniques and mindful awareness you will discover areas of your body that are stuck in something called sensory motor amnesia, a chronically tight state in the muscles. You will be gently guided to unlock these patterns and feel a renewed sense of ease and comfort in these muscles. Your mind and body will relax and you will walk out feeling a renewed vitality to take on your life once again!

    This class is suitable for all ages and abilities.
