Lauren Hutchings, Yoga Instructor

Lauren Hutchings

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, at a young age I was involved in everything from ballet, synchronized swimming, and eventually triathlon. It was from this place that I began to understand that moving my body was essential to building strong relationships within and without and in turn, living a wholesome and purposeful life. The practice of yoga came into my life in my early twenties and was the birthplace of my current path in body-centered therapy.

To this, I am forever indebted to all the supportive teachers along my path, including Tanis Fishman, Danielle Pechie and Gert Van Leeuwan. If there’s one thing that I’ve realized is that no matter how much I have learned, I will forever and always be a humbled student.

To this day, I feel incredibly grateful that I can wake up every day to teach, serve and educate those who will one day continue to pay this gift forward.

I am currently working to complete a Master of Art in Counselling Psychology (MACP) as a key complement to this journey and purpose in holistic health and wellness. My long-term goal is to be among the pioneers in bridging the gap between the spiritual and scientific practices of yoga and global healthcare.

I look forward to practicing with you.
