    10:/00 am-11:/30 am
    22/05/06

Gentle Somatic Movement, 10:00-11:30am with Carolyn Pigott
I have worked closely with clients for over twenty years as a Registered Massage Therapist in clinical practice, and four years as a Somatic Yoga Instructor. I deeply value the healing experience that I witness in people who practice this kind of gentle movement class. Through deep breathing and mindful focus, we gently move all the deep postural muscles and sense profound relaxation of some our body’s deepest tension. In a somatic yoga class, we restrengthen the central nervous system control to the muscles to restore balance and comfort in areas of long held patterns to return to better functionality.

I look forward to guiding you in your healing journey!

Hatha Fundamentals = alignment, balance and breath
    Tuesdays 5:30-6:45pm with Alana Taylor

Join me Tuesday evenings for a Hatha series, which is alignment based, utilizing asana to open hips, build strength and find balance.  Poses are mindfully connected to create a flow of movement that is linked to breath.  Holds are long enough to settle into, cultivating focus and in the moment awareness. An all levels class – find your own rhythm, explore your own edges – options and variations offered for those with compensations.  All in all, a great general class where you will feel by the end lighter, longer, looser and of course, relaxed.
