“What is the fee per session?”
We don’t believe the fee should prevent you from seeing a counsellor. Registered Clinical Counsellors’ and Registered Social Workers’ professional fees are set in accordance with the fee schedule provided by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, but many of us offer a sliding scale system for those in difficult financial situations.
Please contact your individual counsellor or healthcare practitioner directly to discuss their fees.
“What form of payments do you accept?”
Most of the counsellors and healthcare practitioners at Nourish Wellness accept cash, cheque, credit card, debit card or e-transfer at the time of service. Please discuss payment options directly with your counsellor or healthcare practitioner.
“Will my insurance cover my treatment/counselling session?”
Some extended health care plans, employee assistance programs or health spending accounts may cover part or all of your treatment fees.
Please speak with your counsellor or health care practitioner directly about third party billing.
It is the client’s responsibility to inquire about insurance coverage for their services. Unless your counsellor or practitioner offers third party billing, the client is responsible for payment of the fee at the time of the session. Your counsellor or health care practitioner will provide a receipt, which you may be able to submit to your insurance company or employer for direct reimbursement.
“How long does each counselling session last?”
Counselling sessions range from 50 minutes to 2 hours. Please speak with your individual counsellor about the length of her sessions and recommended frequency of appointments.
“When are appointments available?”
Please contact each counsellor or health care practitioner individually for availability. The Nourish Wellness team can generally accommodate a variety of appointment times.
“What happens if I can’t make an appointment?”
Appointments can be changed or cancelled with at least 48 hours notice. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be billed a fee. Please speak directly with your counsellor or health care practitioner about her cancellation policy.
“Are my sessions confidential?”
We understand that in order to feel comfortable, you need to know that your confidence will be protected. There are a few important instances where confidentiality cannot be maintained.
Please speak with your counsellor about her confidentiality policy and any limitations.
